I recently changed the name of this page. Right now, it’s a vision for the future arising from the projects described in these pages. I want to link people with authentic scientific research experiences. I am a restoration ecologist so the authentic science research experiences I can provide are in that realm. I envision a time when other investigators will work with me to promote their research that is conducive to or requiring citizen scientist participation.
Students find me. I ask them how they found me and why they contacted me. They invariably say they are looking for local research experiences to increase their scientific knowledge and practical knowledge. I am providing something by sharing my research with citizen scientists. I am increasing science literacy in our society. I am helping young investigators in their quests for professional science careers.
